A temporary tour to enjoy and participate in Holy Week activities, a very important holiday in the city of Antigua Guatemala.
WE DO NOT REQUIRE OR REQUEST MINIMUM FEES.
A unique experience in Guatemala only happens once a year, and solemnity and traditionalism are everywhere.
The processions and carpets that adorn the Nazarene's float are impressive. The colors of the carpets mingle with the incense and the penitents (Cucuruchos) to commemorate the Redeemer's passion and death.
Sunday, April 6: Carpets, procession, and historical tour of the city. Christ of the Fall of San Bartolome Becerra. Learn about its history and the majestic carpets. GURUWALK will be hosting one where you can participate in the making.
Sunday the 13th: Palm Sunday: The procession of the Christ of the Review and carpets through the city, along with a historical tour of the city. See the most important and impressive procession in Antigua Guatemala.
Monday 14th to Friday 18th: Historical and traditional visits to carpet, altar, and rug making during our regular tours starting at 9am.
Friday the 18th: Tours begin at 3 a.m. and 9 a.m. The 3 a.m. tour is unique and special, featuring the most beautiful and intricately made carpets the day before.
