In the 1st century BC, the Barcino colony was founded, underlying the great Tarraco, chosen by the Romans as a strategic point to control ports and possible invasions. With just 1.5 km in radius, the new city ends up unseating Tarraco, reaching approximately 5,000 inhabitants 300 years later. The Roman influence is and has been very present in our culture until Barcelona today. The presence of Roman culture has left traces that we will see during the tour, both monuments and cultural elements. Let's go there!
