Discover SF's Chinatown, skyscrapers and a hidden park.
Tour description
Welcome Everybody! Let’s blaze a trail on foot through the oldest Chinatown in the United States. You will see some colourful Pagodas and revel in stories about what makes this neighbourhood so enticing. We’ll begin our 2.5 hr tour at the famous Dragon Gate, located on the corner of Bush Street and Grant Avenue. From there, we’ll stroll four blocks to Portsmouth Square, the heart of Chinatown. Rich with its history as marked by statues, markers and plaques sprinkled throughout the square. Our tour continues into the buzzing SOMA neighbourhood, where tech meets green. The walk to SOMA is 15-minutes, and you’ll be happy to hear it’s all flat. If you’re the kind of person who’s fascinated by architecture, yet appreciates Mother Nature, this is it and more :) For the grand finale, we’ll jump into a Gondola, and land on a lush rooftop garden park above the Grand Central Station of the West, where tropical plants thrive surrounded by giant towers of steel. The tour concludes where I’ll provide information to help you get to your next destination, including dining recommendations and other sightseeing options. Join me for this unique and entertaining experience :) * Please note for Salesforce Park purposes, this tour can accommodate a maximum number of 25 visitors. Thank you!
