Tour description
On this tour of Malasaña, I'll tell you about the origins of the neighborhood that saw the birth of the "movida madrileña" (Madrid scene) and witnessed the uprising against Napoleon's troops in 1808. A route in which I'll explain the reasons for the streets' names and the secrets this wonderful neighborhood hides. We'll start at Teatro Lara, a classic, centuries-old venue, passing through Plaza de San Ildefonso to the oldest businesses. We'll stroll through the streets that saw the birth of this neighborhood (Corredera Alta de San Pablo), vintage shops (Velarde), and where the "movida madrileña" (Madrid scene) originated. The interesting history of Plaza del 2 de Mayo and surrounding streets. Our tour ends at Conde Duque. We'll have previously strolled through Plaza de las Comendadoras, and I'll tell you a curious story about Madrid's Mahou beer. -> The minimum number of people for the tour is 4. *Madrid is a safe city, but always remember to take care of your belongings, for which you are responsible. **Come with comfortable shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather conditions to fully enjoy the tour.***Please be punctual out of respect for the rest of the group.
