Hi, glad to meet you, my name is Alfredo R. . I am from Lima city, I live there and I work as a Licensed Tour Guide by the peruvian Ministry of Tourism (initials in spanish MINCETUR) for over 17 years. I am a Transfer Person, Tour Conductor and Tour Leader as well. Finishing my studies in a local institute, I worked as Tour Guide in Lima city when I received some offers for working as Guide, Transporter and Tour Conductor out from my city: Puno, Cusco cities and Bolivia (Southern highlands) and after Chiclayo, Trujillo, Chachapoyas, Cajamarca and Piura cities (Northern coast and highlands). Thanks to my experience, sometimes I am a Tour Advisor making tour programs and I can guide in different places talking about many themes. Hope to meet you in Lima!
Our Tour starts visiting Real Felipe Fortress (Royal Phillip in spanish), the biggest of the southamerican shore of the Pacific Ocean, built to protect to the Callao Port against the attack of pirates and corsaries who wanted to steal the gold and silver shipped to Spain.
Then, we walk in some streets to watch the architecture of very old companies which operated there, considering that Callao is still being, the main Port of Perú.
We visit a nice and high building of the XX century that now is an art gallery and studio of local painters and photographers that show the real life of a port.
Going to Grau Plaza, we have the chance to take a boat for having a panoramic view of the docks of Callao, the main port of Perú. On the route we see Cannon of the People and Abtao Submarine.
Taking a bus, we go to La Punta, neighborhood of peruvians descendents of italians who came in the XIX century. Good place to eat sea food.
Additional info: You have to pay Tickets in Real Felipe Fortress and the boat for the panoramic view of Callao.
P. D.:
We can visit Navy Museum or Submarine Museum but that is a extra service.
Outside of the Real Felipe military Fortress, Callao
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
