Free Tour Budapest Jewish District
Tour description
On March 19, 1944 the German Nazis invaded Hungary ... but, wait a moment, invade? With us you will discover what really happened. We will make a tour of about 2 hours for what was the last ghetto built by the Nazis during the Second World War. If you visit the Jewish quarter on your own you will not see anything of the Jewish ghetto that one day spread through its streets, an authentic concentration camp in the heart of the same city. We will also discover the names of those characters who saved so many lives, their stories, their tricks to deceive the Nazis ... without a doubt our most intense and exciting tour. We are going to completely turn around this neighborhood, now the center of Budapest's nightlife, so you can see it with different eyes.
What you will discover with us on this tour:
- Great synagogue in Budapest
- Tree of life
- Who was Raoul Wallenberg
- Who was Ángel Sanz Briz
- Quo Status Synagogue
- Original ghetto wall
- Orthodox synagogue
- Szimpla and ruin bars
Observations:
-The tour does not include any visits to the interior of the monuments, all the buildings that can be visited require the payment of an entrance and have their own private guides.
