Extremely disappointed, as having arrived at the meeting point at least 8 minutes before the scheduled start of the tour, asking people if they were Dominique and waiting for 15 minutes after the tour was to start, Dominique never showed up. Consequently we lost an evening seeing Chiang Mai & not even an apology!
My GuruWalk guide Dominique did not show up and did not respond to my messages. My wife and I booked the 17:45 "Evening tour through the streets and food markets of Chiang Mai" today (Sunday, 2024-11-03). According to the info provided, the meeting place is the entrance of Wat Phra Singh because it is a Sunday. I contacted Dominique 2 hours before the tour using the GuruWalk App asking Dominique to confirm the meeting place. No response from Dominique. We arrived at the meeting place (the entrance gate of Wat Phra Singh) 30 min before the walk and waited until 15 min after the supposedly starting time of the walk. There is no sign of Dominique and there is no message from Dominique in the Guruwalk App. We sent message to Dominique by the GuruWalk App and no response. We left at 18:00. Very disappointed. I was expecting a message from the GuruWalk guide if he cannot make the tour. Po
The guide did not show up at all.
We booked the tour and showed up to the meeting point 15minutes prior to start time. We waited 30minutes. The guide never showed up and did not respond to any messages. If the tour was cancelled it would have been nice to have been notified or for the guide to have responded when we wrote to them. If you book this tour try to contact the guide beforehand to confirm that it is actually taking place.
