Booking this tour is really worth its salt. We had a nice walk with our guide Tamas. He knows many aspects of the WWII & Cold War period of the region. We could keep our personal space throughout the walk. Really, there are some buildings here with a weird history. We also visited some sites built by the Turkish 500 years ago. That is around a one-and-a-half kilometer walk. The tour is highly recommended!

We met at Batthyany square. A good start point. It has a metro station. Our guide was Tamas. With his good personality he was an excellent guide. We had the chance to discuss many angles of this historical period of Communism. We were also escorted to sites of the Turkish period of Buda. Never knew about this part of history, I personally was very surprised . A highly recommended unique tour. No rush, no time pressure, a very comfortable walk.

I highly recommend this tour for those who are looking for a relaxed walk with an excellent guide. No rush, no lengthy monologues. Tamas showed us really unique spots giving detailed information. We didn't think that inner Buda can be so calm. Tamas recommended further spots worth to drop in.

We attended to a nice walk with a great talk with Tamas. A 2 hour-short tour became somehow a time traveling. Short but interesting stories about the local life throughout the Cold War. We observed buildings with eerie history. Tamas could share many details about the communist period if you are interested. But he doesn't overdose his guests with long monologues. Tamas is a great host!

I had an amazing time exploring Budapest today with Tamas! Along the streets, he pointed out fascinating details that I would have totally missed. Those details really provided different aspects to learn about the history of Budapest as well as Hungary. He was super friendly and made the whole experience really enjoyable. If you're looking for a guide who can show you the unique features of Budapest, he's your guy! Highly recommend!
