Manoj is a professional and dedicated guide who clearly takes pride in his work. His attention to detail and enthusiasm for sharing knowledge was evident throughout the tour. He is genuinely interested in learning about the preferences of those he guides, which adds a personal and engaging touch to the experience. Moreover, he made sure to check that everything was understood, patiently answering questions and ensuring clarity. I would highly recommend him, whether you're part of a group or the only guest on the tour.

Manoj was an excellent guide, he has an incredible understanding and knowledge of the sites we visited and was able to answer all of my questions regarding Hinduism, Buddhism and life in Nepal in general. We were able to see some amazing sights in a short period of time. The tour was well organised and thanks to Manoj ran very smoothly. I highly recommend this tour.

Manoj was knowledgeable and did it quite professionally. The 2 of us were joined by a father and 2 daughters from Coulumbia. We had a good time.

First of all, Manoj texted us 30 minutes before the tour so we could do it later. So it started late. A “free WALKING” tour should include walking, which we didn’t because we were taken everywhere in car. Manoj seemed uninterested and had a serious behavior. You could not understand his english well. The information was dull, not a lot of it and inaccurate. He walked on his own, leaving us behind. He seemed in a rush all the time, we didn’t go to many places, and we had little information and interaction.

    Response from Guru

Hello Nicolas, Thank you for your review. I appreciate you taking the time to provide feedback, and I’d like to address some of your comments to clarify any misunderstandings and improve for the future. 1. Regarding visiting places: You mentioned that we didn’t visit many places. However, during the tour, we visited two main temples and two monasteries. Additionally, all the temples listed in the itinerary are located within the premises of those main temples, which we explored as part of the tour. 2. Regarding understanding my English: You mentioned that my English was difficult to understand, but the other two participants seemed to follow me without any issues. I acknowledge that my accent might be different from what you're used to, and I’m sorry if this caused any difficulty. However, I always strive to communicate clearly and provide as much information as possible. 3. Regarding the use of taxis: You also mentioned we didn’t walk during the tour. This detail is clearly outlined in the tour description, which mentions the use of a taxi due to group size. Since we were a group of six (larger than usual for my tours), I made arrangements to ensure everyone could travel together without the hassle of managing multiple taxis. 4. Information provided during the tour: During the 2-hour and 45-minute tour, I shared extensive information about the temples, Hindu death rituals, sadhus, stupa architecture, and the festivals associated with the Hindu temple. The purpose of the tour is to offer insights into these topics rather than delve deeply into every detail, which may not be practical given the time constraints. 5. Accusation of disinterest: You mentioned that I seemed uninterested in the tour. I can assure you that I am passionate about what I do. My facial expressions may have led to a misunderstanding, but my commitment to providing a valuable experience remains the same. 6. Starting late: Regarding the start time, I sincerely apologize for being a few minutes late. This was due to an unforeseen incident earlier in the morning where petrol was stolen from my car. I still managed to reach the meeting point by 8:40 and met you at 8:45. While GuruWalk allows flexibility in rescheduling due to emergencies, I prioritized sticking to our planned schedule. If there are specific inaccuracies in the information I provided, I would be happy to clarify and correct them. I’m always open to constructive discussions to improve my tours further. PS- I am deeply concerned with accusation of inaccurate information and I believe I need to know which information was inaccurate. Kindly let me know under my comment. Thank you for your time, and I appreciate your understanding.
