Mary really took care of us. It was kinda cold day, so we were also staying for some time inside of the buildings so she could explain us the complicated stories of German politics and history. For me this tour was very informative, I don't remember when last time I learned so much about politics and history. Mary shared with us also her personal stories and views so it made the tour more involving.
Mary is the best guide I’ve had so far! She’s funny, informative and so sincere. Her method of guidance helps one to connect to various intersections of lenses (which is often absent in tours). Additionally, she often related the past to current politics which was refreshing! It was a long tour, however, she knew the best spots to pause and ensured we were warm and undercover as much as possible! The biggest takeaway was how inspiring and honest she was with the information relayed, much needed for a more conscientious society. Very honoured to be part of her journey!
Mary was fantastic, she added interesting stories and relatable material to the historical information to make it interesting and entertaining It was wet and snowing, but Mary took us inside some warm and dry places to share information The snow added to the drama and made us feel very connected to the stories and dark times in history
One of the best tours I’ve ever been on! This wasn’t an ordinary history and sightseeing tour, we discussed the rise and fall of communism in Berlin and how this has impacted today. It was great to listen to Mary draw similarities to events happening in the present and she made a supportive environment so that others and myself could share experiences and comments. I would highly recommend this if you’re looking for a deeper look into Berlin than a regular history tour!
