Mou was a very nice and helpful guide, and the tour overall was interesting. However, I found it weird and a bit misleading that neither Carlota or Ali showed up or mentioned that there is someone else who guides the tour. I believe that Mou should be mentioned in the description of the tour since he is a great guide and from the comments it seems that he is leading many tours.

I was the only one joining so the tour got cancelled. The 1st suggestion was also cancelled by next morning and the option at 17 was not possible to me. This was all articulated and communicated by WhatsApp

After visiting Fes and learning about the process of extracting argon oil and what it looks like after the process I discovered that my purchase of argon oil (MAD110) at the store in the Medina that Mou took us to is sunflower oil sadly. Other than that, we enjoyed the tour.
Response from GuruI have no commercial ties to any shops I recommend. My goal is to share local culture, including argan oil, without any personal benefit. I suggested the shop based on its reputation, not to mislead. It’s unfortunate the cooperative in Fes called the oil fake. Some cooperatives may discredit others to make sales. To verify, you could test the oil or contact Chefchaouen Argan cooperative directly. We are happy to assist. We hope this clears up any misunderstanding. See you next time Kind regards, Mou
