Tour started good. However, guide made us stand for 15 minutes at each stop, while he spoke. It was very hot and after 5 minutes everyone loss interest in what he said and people became restless. Guide needs to learn how to read the group. This is a walking tour not a standing tour.

    Response from Guru

Thank you for the review. To help everyone understand the nature of the tours we conduct daily in Hanoi, Vietnam so we need to clarify a few points that Anien wrote, which go against what we discussed at the beginning of the tour. As you know, conducting a walking tour in a busy city with nearly 7 million motorbikes like Hanoi requires ensuring the safety of our guests. Therefore, the guide clearly explained that a large group participating in the tour cannot stand on the street during the tour, especially in the crowded Old Quarter, as this is quite dangerous for the tourists as Motorbikes competing for space with pedestrians.. We choose a few spacious and traffic-free spots to provide information to the guests, and we have asked the whole group for permission to do this, which might take a bit more time to provide complete information before moving to the next spots. After reading this bad review, we genuinely wonder if Anien understood what we explained or not at the beginning of the tour, while all the other guests were very happy and satisfied. We do not intend to organize standing tours in Hanoi. Hanoi is not a city like London, Amsterdam, or Edinburgh, so we need to make adjustments accordingly. Therefore, Anien needs to review and remember what your guide explained from the beginning of the tour. If necessary, Anien please contact us directly to clarify the matter instead of leaving such a bad review when the tour was conducted excellently.
