Walking Tour Gamlastan - Old Town

It’s not the best opportunity to get to know and learn a lot about Gamla Stan :( You can do it by yourself faster and, with some internet info, even more helpfull!

poitr is a nice and friendly guy, but the information given during the tour was often incoherent and that made it hard to follow and chaotic. he went on for too long about information that was not interesting for the tour, such as using his own washing machine. he also regularly criticized the swedes. I did not find that appropriate. we would have liked to hear more interesting facts about the city and the country. it went from pillar to post. very unfortunate, because normally we find the free walking tours very nice and informative.

Wished there were more frequent stops with more concise, general information about the area.

Overall I was a bit disappointed by the general negativity of our non-Swedish tour guide, and it wasn't as fun, even though I really enjoy walking tours in most cities I visit even if the content isn't as thrilling. Stockholm is a lovely city so I'm glad I got to see the city center before heading home!

Thank you for your review. The guide is originally not Swedish, but like most of our team, has been living here for many years and has fully integrated into the society. We never express our opinions, but some guides try to make the tour fun and entertaining. Perhaps you misunderstood his humor when he talked about how the winters can be dark and sad. But of course, we like it here regardless! If not, we wouldn't have been living here for so long!
