Free tour of the historic center of San Salvador

So we were really Mad. We arrived as told 15 min before. You knew we were coming because yesterday we change the number of people on your application. We wont trust guru anymore too much confirmation for nothing. Julie from Canada on visit at San Salvador .

Hi Julie!!! I really apologise for the inconvenience! I was dropping off a family from the previous walking tour in the morning in their hotel and I was late for your tour!! It was my fault and I wanted to compensate you by giving you a free tour "El Boquerón" I understand you were so mad but I did everything possible to give you a later walking tour and a compensation.

Told me 30 minutes before the tour that he couldn't make it. He made up some excuses. Asked me to pay 25$ for private tour. Say he could make it for 16h00. Never show up. Told me he would be there in 10 minutes. Never show up. Lies and no show up with the guy.

Dominic!! I'm sorry! I did everything possible to get to the meeting point on time but traffic jams at 16:00 hrs are so bad, I was dropping off a family in their hotel and it took me more than expected to be at the meeting point, when I finally arrived it was 16:30 and it was so late. I really wanted to compensate you for the bad experience but you were leaving the next day.

No obligar a dar una propina mínima de $15 por persona , mejor pongan una tarifa para el paseo.

Buenas tardes señora, como le comenté nosotros los guías de la plataforma no nos patrocina el gobierno, alcaldía ni alguna ONG, la plataforma trabaja bajo el concepto de "free walking tours" no significa que sea gratis realmente, significa que es un sistema de taquilla invertida, la reserva es gratis pero al guía se le entrega un aporte, según la plataforma puede ir de mínimo "$10" a lo que usted desee aportar, yo le sugerí que el aporte fuera de $15 porque el tour de ese día iba a ser personalizado, considero que mi sugerencia era justa para ustedes y para mí dando un servicio de guiado personalizado por 3 horas.

Cancelled on me 49 minutes before the tour. Said he could do a private tour for $25 which he then dropped to $20 when I said no. Quite disappointed as I was happy with the $15 requested (even though I think requesting a minimum tip is a bit cheeky anyway but didn’t bother me at first) but then hiking it at the last minute I wasn’t impressed with. Would’ve been annoyed but at least respected him a bit more if he’d just cancelled (even with such short notice).

I'm sorry to contact you 49 mins before the tour start, most of the time there is a last min booking so I waited to see if someone else was joining us.The only reason why I will ever cancel a tour is because not enough people booked (minimum 2 travellers to star the tour), before canceling this tour I wanted to contact you (you were the only one that booked today) to see if you are willing to pay $25 for a private tour which is the average I get for almost 3 hours tour.
