Walking Tour of South Mumbai

Ali was out of town and sent a substitute (Nisar) to take us on the tour. This was sadly one of the least enjoyable walks we’ve done. The best Nisar could do was show us where the monuments were. He had very little factual or historic information to share and at times gave us incorrect or implausible data, e.g. that Air India was founded in 1863 or that Parsis fled from Iraq as opposed to Iran. I would have spared Ali this review had he not reached out after the tour to complain about the tip we gave his friend being too low. We should have left after the first five minutes. Definitely skippable.

Booked this tour and arrived at the meeting point 20 minutes early. Two other people from Australia turned up and we waited for 25 minutes past the tour start time. Not a very good service.

Do not book this walk. In 5+ years of using free walking tours, this is the first time I find myself giving such a poor rating. The guide was not Ali, but another guy. His English was so poor that we couldn’t understand the few key information provided. Moreover, one of the first info he gave to us was incorrect. For this reasons we decided to drop the tour after 20 mins, giving a small tip anyway. He complained about the amount and asked for much more. Definitely a bad experience :-(

I'm sorry for that, unfortunately you are not done tour with us how come you say about tour not good ?

Aparecio un “amigo de Ali” y nos llevo por todas las zonas del tour Al principio bien, despues se hizo tedioso Nos quiso llevar a comprar a tiendas de conocidos suyos, queria meternos a comer en un restaurante de otro amigo Y cuando le deciamos que no, ponia mala cara Pero lo peor fue que cuando le pagamos (2000 rupias, que aqui es una pasta) nos dijo que era muy poco, que era una vergüenza y nos hizo sentir muy incomodos

Lo siento por eso 🙏 Hablé con un chico y dice que lo hizo bien pero desafortunadamente no estás contento.
