Didn’t show up, no answers to messages. Apologized later for confusion. But still left us with no tour.

Emmanuele announced a tour .. He canceled it very lately in the morning and all the communication with him was really not positive. All the group contacted him saying, we were waiting for him (between 10 and 15 people). He didn't show up .. I can't really not recommend a tour with him.

Hello, thank you for this comment, it's very helpful for others to avoid same behaviour in future. Besides the automatic messages, I asked manually to give a confirmation of participations (or otherwise I would have cancelled bookings) since the very high rate of noshows in a free tour policy, where people book and forget or change their plans without telling anyone, a double confirmation request which you didn't mind to answer since you didn't think it was useful to me, despite that you showed anyway also if I wrote at 9.30 (1 hour before the start and not 30 minutes as you conveniently state) that since more than 60% of the people didn't mind to answer the tour would have been cancelled. People confirm me double time everyday so why you shouldn't? Why should I risk to drive 30 minutes to get in a place for the commitment of a tour and find myself waiting for no one to come? As I told you already in the group chat, I'm responsible of my communication but not about when are you going to actually read the message. Luckily there are hundreds of other people that can tell otherwise about my behaviour, and all of those people confirmed me back when asked, giving me the chance to organize my working day and not making me risk to come wait in the middle of the street for nothing. So for everyone else to come, please remember that for many us offering our tours here in Guruwalk, this can be a full time job and so it's good common sense to take seriously your reservations and to consider your guide's communication and messages beforehand, we deal with dozens of people everyday and we do our best to make everyone happy, so it's better to anyone to be more keen to communications and keep in mind that at the other side of the phone there's someone who takes committment for every booking also if not always it's a double way thoughtfulness.

I applied my family for the tour the previous day. Then I got an email from Emanuele where he thanked me for the booking and saying we should inform him in case we can't come. We also had a public chat room where two seperate walkers wrote they were coming with another person, so that already made 4 walkers (the minimum number to do the tour). When we arrived to the meeting point the next day ten minutes before the start of the tour, people started to arrive and at the end there were 10 of us waiting for Emanuele. We found out he had written us a message half an hour before that saying he wasn't coming since only 1 person confirmed the walk. I don't get your policy: we apply, we give you all the data and then we still need to send you another mail saying we're coming, although you wrote us specifically we need to inform you in case we CAN' T show up. Then we got another reply from the guide saying it was all our fault. GuruWalk, SERIOUSLY? By the way, it was too late for us to go to another tour in the morning and we couldn't wait for 6 hours and go to the afternoon walk with a small child where at the end there's a possibility the guide won't show up.
