Changing Of The Guard - Free Walking Tour

We were waiting at designated meeting point. Waited 20 Min and guide no showed. Would not recommend

Hi Liz Perhaps there was a misunderstanding regarding the meeting points. I arrived 10 minutes prior to the tour stating and the rest of the group arrived , we waited until 10.05 for you but you were not there so we left. I did not receive any communication from you that you couldn’t locate me, as my reminder message states that if you have trouble finding the group to message me so we can sort it out, so therefore I had to assume that you were not able to do the tour.

Our tour guide was Joanna as Richard was unable to attend. Didn't like it at all. She wasn't funny even though she continuosly tried to be. Everything was rushed which was communicated at the beginning but we were literally having a speed walking tour. Probably on the way back was different but I didn't stick around to find out. Also I found it distasteful when she spoke ill of another nation.

Richard was unable to do the tour due to medical and messaged the group ahead to offer alternatives. On the same day, he arranged for Joanne to cover him and we opted to do that option. Honestly, I’m trying not to rate this tour so as not to hit Richard’s rating, but Joanne’s substitution was well below our expectations. If you are interested in this tour, note that you will not see the actual changing of the guard, but rather stand pretty far away and not see much at all. We signed up for this tour because we wanted information on the landmarks and the changing of the guard, but we got neither. I can’t speak to Richard, but Joanne’s tour was just not good. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this to anyone and would actually advise against it. We left part way through because we could not continue listening to her children’s tales and stories.

Don't do this if you cannot almost run round. This should have started earlier as we had to almost run to get to Changing of the Guard. We missed the spot we had planned to stand because of this. Kept losing guide as she walked too quickly. Just gave up. Sadly. Other tours have been great. Nice lady, just too fast for crowd numbers.
