I was not impressed as the night before the tour I received an email telling me to get ready for the tour. It was not until the morning of the tour that they cancelled, which did not leave enough time to try and book another one being offered by a different company. Very disappointed
We found out from the Spanish guide that the tour was cancelled after arranging our day around the tour, no prior notice was given that the tour was cancelled which is disappointing as we could have arranged to do something else worth while with our limited time in Ghent instead of wasting it on a wild goose chase
We were really looking forward to visiting Gent, and have had many great experiences with free walking tours from guru all over Europe. Unfortunately, the tour guide did not show up for the tour in Gent, which was obviously quite disappointing. Nevertheless, such things can happen. Once. We were offered an alternative tour later the same day. Again, no one showed up. We called the tour guide, but no one would call back. It was rather annoying for us, because we planed our day in Gent twice around the walking tour and it was twice for nothing. :(
