Reservamos esse tour no carnaval. Estávamos 4 pessoas esperando o guia e nunca apareceu, nem disse nada. Uma vergonha!

“The number one problem with Salvador is the black culture”. He said this verbatim within the first 5 minutes of the tour. I thought I miss heard him so I asked him to repeat. I asked him to explain and he said “I’ll explain later in the tour”. I thought I miss heard him or maybe there was a translation issue. After asking the other 6 people in the group (we had portugese and Spanish speakers) they all heard the same thing and were confused like me. With that said I do not think there was a translation issue or any miss hearing. He is Argentinian, I do know there has been racial tension in the past between Argentina and Brazil. He mentioned he does have “mixed” kids but that to me does not allow you to say racist things or mean you don’t say racist things. Throughout the rest of the tour he said several racist things and neglected any responsibility when confronted

If you are a female. I would be careful, the guide didn’t respect the personal space and when crossing the road he was a bit touchy and close more than enough. Talked about his admire to young women while he is 55 years old. That was the most uncomfortable tour. In another note he came as a disrespect to some religious and bias to others which also made me reserve my opinion.
