Frankly, overall, the experience was a disappointment. I sent the guide a message after reserving a spot to double check that they could accommodate vegetarians and never heard anything. Then less than 10 minutes before the start of the tour, I got a message from the guide saying it was canceled. The uncertainty and last minute nature totally messed up my plans for Sofia.
No puedo dar ninguna opinión acerca del tour, ni del trabajo del guía, debido a que no se nos permitió hacer el tour por llegar 1 minuto tarde, cuando habíamos reservado, y no solo eso, sino que enviado un email de confirmación donde se me respondió que nos perfecto que nos veríamos ese día. No solo fue la situación por llegar un minuto tarde, lo peor de la experiencia fue la actitud del guía y la respuesta que nos dio. Puede ser un muy buen tour, pero deberían revisar la forma de tratar a las personas, en especial si son sus clientes, y esperan que les paguen por el trabajo que realizan! Sinceramente deja muchísimo que desear este guía.
Response from GuruDear Elizabeth, we are very sorry for the negative experience you had. I understand it must be disappointing to come to the start expecting to take a tour and then be rejected. Unfortunately due to the very high demand of our tours we are in the tough situation to have to reject guests once our max. number is reached as we have agreements with the restaurants to not exceed. It is not easy for the guides to do so and there is a lot of work and organization involved right at the start of the tour. I understand you had a reservation. Nevertheless our policy is clearly written: "Bookings are valid till 2 p.m. so please be on time." Thank you for your understanding and hope you had a great time in Sofia nonetheless.
