Free walking tours in Playa del Carmen

We just completed a very enjoyable tour in Playa del Carmen. The host (sorry I can't remember her name) was so bubbly and eager to share lots of fun facts about PDC and the Mayan culture. I had been in PDC for 3 weeks prior to taking this tour and it was a highlight of my trip! Highly recommend!!

Astonishingly good tour. She made Playa del Carmen come to life, showed us things we would never have found on our own, gave excellent explanations. She's a first rate guide.

Learned many things about the culture I didn't know. The stops were all good.

My guide was friendly, energetic and had good English. We walked for around 1.5 hours. There were only two of us, so it was more like a walking chat, which was great! The content was heavily focused upon visiting local businesses and now to support the local economy, rather than the history per se, so good if you want to identify places to buy souvenirs to support the local economy and places to eat. I didn’t learn anything regarding the local history of PDC. We tipped 200 pesos which was the recommended amount. I enjoyed this walk.
