Taipei Free Walking Tour / Historic

It was a phenomenal tour with dynastic history, careful but honest political commentary, amazing cultural exchange, great foodie recommendations, and a nice walk around the city. I've done dozens of GuruWalks (shout out to GW) and their listing of Like it Formosa was well played. Thanks to both. thanks Jen, thanks Susie, you're a great team.

Andy was a fantastic guide. He introduced Taipei's history, going from early Han settlement and interactions with Taiwanese aborigines, the Qing, Japanese colonial era, the controversial history of the first decades of the Republic of China on Taiwan and were Taiwan is now. His English is excellent and his knowledge of the subject impeccable. I grilled him on a number of topics and he was able to give confident and accurate answers on everything I asked. I'd love to take another tour with him in the future.
