Fener and Balat are small neighborhoods historically home to Greek Christians and Jews. They feature 19th-century houses, a Greek Orthodox Church, the Bulgarian Iron Church, and many ruined Greek houses. You can also enjoy authentic Turkish food here, which is more affordable compared to other parts of the city. The guide Yonus was passionate about history and explained well.

We took this tour as part of our 5-days stay in Istanbul with my family. Our guru Yunus was a very welcoming, friendly and professional guide. He tought us many things about the history of all the landmarks that we visited. My only complain (or suggestion) is for more stops to be added in the route probably at the expense of the historic information.
