Our tour guide was very sweet and professional, but a common thread was missing in the tour, and overall, it was hard to follow because we were simply hopping from place to place, given a couple of key pieces of info, and then moved to the following one. Little context on the historical periods, on the meaning of things on the evolution of the city itself..it's the first time I write such a bad review and I almost didn't do it. But I think it's important to receive this type of feedback in order to improve.

Out tour guide was Adi on Dec 25th at 10:30am. We have been participating in free walking tours all over the world, in many cities in many countries. It was the first time that the tour was not up to our standards. Mainly we expected much more fact and details about the history of Barcelona and about the life of Gaudi. Adi barely mentioned anything about him. The Gaudi part of the walk was basically to walk to the Penedra and to the Batllo houses and look at them (outside) which we could have done on our own. Not much explanation given about them: when were they built, how big, how long it took to build them etc. We didn’t learn much new on this walk.

Unfortunately my tour with Onno was a total disaster. He spent too much time listening to himself talk about local politics and uninteresting facts while standing in one place far too long. He then bolted in between sights, never looking back. He lost me with a group of 6 and didn't even notice until 15 minutes later when he contacted me to give me his location. At this point, I returned my earpiece and left frustrated. Not recommended with this guide! Unfortunate because I've taken many free walking tours and thoroughly enjoyed all the otheres.
