Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the tour. The information that was provided is basic and something that u can easily find in Wikipedia. While visiting free walking tour from local I expect some interesting facts that are not just general overview of Brussels. All tours that took before looked like people researched a lot to provide some interesting facts while here it looked like general overview from Wikipedia. Another point was that guide was way too concerned about money. Even the jocks were like don't get hit by the tram as I need tips and etc. At the end, guide mentioned tips starting from 15 euros while in guru it is mentioned 10.

Not my favorite tour unfortunately and I take a lot of these type tours all around Europe. The tour guide was, however, timely, very friendly, bright, energetic and delightful. It’s just, for me, there wasn’t much substance to the tour. We visited the Mannekin Pis and heard the history and various legends and stories about its history. That was very interesting and delightful. However, that was really the last of the “stories” until near the end of the tour when we learned interesting history and stories about King Leopold II. In between those two highlights, we walked to quiet spots to learn about about Trappist beers and general overview of beers available. Interesting, yes. Then had a stop to order beer and take about a half hour break about 1.5 hr into tour. Perhaps a welcome respite on a really hot or otherwise unpleasant weather day, but seemed unnecessary. The time spent there, however, did not subtract time from the actual tour. It was a large group (25-26 people), which the guide handled well. I prefer the option for smaller groups, but I couldn’t seem to find such in Brussels.

It sounded a lot like he was just sticking to the script, it wasn't fun at all. Also, he would stop talking whenever something even slightly noisy was passing by, say a motorcycle, or a baby, and this caused a lot of distraction. In the morning, the guides were 2 people and looking at how many visitors there were, they still thought that it would be a good idea to send one of the guides away and manage the crowd with only one guide. And now he complains about the noise levels? Unable of being heard? I only finished the tour to get his list of places.
