Was underwhelmed by the tour. I didn’t learn much and the tour ran 30 min longer than what was advertised. This meant I was having to navigating public transit after sunset which was not what I wanted to be doing. Also the tour stopped at a lot of family locations, his aunts store, his house, etc. it felt like a conflict of interest
I truly enjoyed the knowledge presented on the tour. I learned a lot from our guide and we even visited his family home. My issue is that he didn't allow any time for us to enter any of the shops and when people tried they were left. My biggest concern was I was doing this tour alone. I specifically asked him if he could wait for me while I asked a shop owner about a specific souvenir and even interpret for me if needed. He said YES and then when I turned around he walked away and left me. I panicked trying to find him because I have a terrible sense of direction. Whenni finally located him he was boarding the bus back to the train station. The man really almost left me in Cumuna13 with no clue of how to get back. I was very upset because I trust these tour guides with my saftey and he did not make me feel safe. I wish I would have done the tour with another group.
This tour might be a hit or miss depending on who you get. Our tour consisted of a bus ride in the beginning, 15minutes of standing learning about the history from a picture book, and then walking around a bit seeing the graffiti, touring an art shop, and ending the tour in a bar. I had a good time but it was not really a informative tour but a tour if you need help getting around. I wish there was more of a balance.
