I took the English-speaking tour but the quality of the guide was very bad. Poor English fluency, poor storytelling, no context. I’ve always had great experiences with free walking tours, but this one was surprisingly bad. I was considering to drop out after the first 20min but I stayed till the end, hoping I would learn something interesting. I ended up google-ing most things I wanted to hear about during the tour. There was no point in asking the guide.

Leider hat uns diese Tour nicht gefallen. Wir standen am Anfang sehr lange rum und es entstand mehr der Eindruck einer „Standing“ Tour als einer „Walking“ Tour. Leider haben wir sehr wenig mitnehmen können, da wir unserem Guide aufgrund ihrer Sprachkenntnisse wirklich nicht folgen konnten. Sie ließ sich von jeglicher Ablenkung aus dem Konzept bringen und ging nicht auf grundlegende Informationen zu Las Palmas ein und vermittelte auch keinen Eindruck wie das Leben hier ist. Wir haben letztendlich in der Mitte der Tour abgebrochen, weil wir immer noch hofften, dass es vielleicht noch besser wird, aber es leider nicht dazu kam. Auch der Austauch mit anderen Teilnehmenden der Tour zeigte uns, dass wir nicht die einzigen waren, die diese Tour als verschwendete Zeit empfunden haben.

We were rather disappointed. The guid couldnt speak English very well and there was little information about the buildings and places we visited.
