The meeting point was labelled R. do Muro 2E5. Neither we nor the cab driver knew what 2E5 meant. "We're behind the wall close to the cross bewtween Rua do Muro and Rua Candido dos Reias." A cross is a religious symbol. We spent 10 ninutes looking for a cross. Even a few people at a nearby convent could not help us. Eventually we found our tour. I wish the organizations that run these tours would specify the FINAL DESTINATION as well as the meeting point so that we could organize ourselves better. It is not nice when you finish far away from your hotel and the starting point. Now to the good stuff. Of the three walking tours we have had so far during our Portugal holiday this was by far the best. Our guide, Elza I think, was fabulous. Our stops were relatively short and Elza was full of useful information, mostly historical and very interesting. Her personality was perfect for the job. We all thought she was exceptionally good. By the way, 12 people on the walk is so much better than 25. Anyway, the tour was terrific and if you are lucky enough to be led by Elza, you will be most fortunate.
