My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed Huyen's tour. We made 6 stops: 4 food and 2 drinks. She was friendly and helpful in explaining these foods. Would have loved to trying out more food next time, maybe some tropical fruits?
Met Nana at the coffee shop and the first stop was 20 minutes walk to the burning monk site. It was quite hot at 9 am already. She shared a TON of info but it was super hard to hear from constant honking, road noises and other distraction. Standing under the beaming sun without shade for 20 minutes was tough. Felt like she was reciting instead of sharing her knowledge. She wasn't able to answer questions when people asked questions (due to language barrier). It was nice to check out the underground bunker and tried out coffee. Wear a hat, comfortable shoes, plenty of sunblock and water.
Phuong is a nice young individual and her group was small. I personally prefer a smaller group as it's easier to ask questions. She was resourceful in providing food recs. The designated stops are quite routine and a good overview of Hanoi. Thanks for showing us!
Swai was our tour guide where he was punctual. It was not easy to understand the information he shared. Being a non-English native speaker, I understand the challenges. It will be helpful when he enunciates slowly and allowed time for guests to ask questions. We had a small group and most of us had to ask each other what Swai just said. Some of us were googling the information. We tried plenty of free walking tours globally and this was definitely substandard.
