Thiago is a lovely guy and clearly wants people to enjoy his tour and most do. But it was not for me as it was more a sightseeing tour of Santa Teresa with a little history which isn’t the type of tour I enjoy. Sorry to be negative but that’s just how I found it and always want people to know my own experience so they can choose a tour that works for them
Excellent tour and guide. Previously visited this favella in 2016 on a tour and that was nowhere near as good - that was sightseeing, this was insight. Luiz is born and bred in Rocinha and tells you as it is; he answers any questions with clear honesty. 100% recommended. Thanks Luiz!
Good walking tour focused on a quite narrow subject, though Roy made it interesting and spoke well. More interaction with the group might help starting with introductions. Very relaxed pace, though could maybe do the tour in 90 mins but that’s maybe my preference
