Youssef’s night tour of Rabat was fabulous. He is knowledgeable, entertaining, friendly, reliable, respectful- an all around lovely guy. This was a great experience that I’d recommend to anyone and everyone!!
It was a very informative tour with great discussions and good spots. We were very pleasantly surprised. It was really a lovely evening! We can just recommend it.
Execellent
We were greatly surprised and happy with this night tour and specifically with how knowledgeable and kind Youssef is. He accepted to continue even under the rain and took us back to our hotel when we finished! And he gave me gigas for free! (So much appreciated!). He knows and loves his city and his job. He's studied a lot and his tour has an excellent rating because it is excellent, even impressive. I hope I'll come back soon to take another tour and I wish good luck learning Spanish!!
Fabulous! The meeting place was easy to find and I went with 2 friends hoping that they would be able to join us. As it turned out, the others who had signed up cancelled because of rain and Youssef took the 3 of us on the most amazing night tour of Rabat! We started under the arch of the National Central bank across from the Parliament. At first we thought it would be strange to learn about the city at night, but we soon realized it was the best time - magical! Besides being incredibly informative, Youssef was delightful, super-friendly, full of stories and history, just what we were looking for. As we meandered into the old Medina, we were thrilled to see that it had filled with all the locals, coming out after Ramadan. All the shops had opened although it was already 9:30pm. They weren’t for the tourists at all and we stopped a few times to see traditional clothes , etc and even bought small vials of Argan oil squeezed from the seeds right in front of us. We wandered through towards leaving the walls of the Medina out to the river and to the Mausoleum of Mohammed V and the unfinished Mosque from the 11th Century. It was far more impressive at night all lit up than by daylight. Finally the tour ended at the foot of the fort, also lit up. Youssef gave us some great suggestions and answered all our questions with enthusiasm. Rather than let us walk alone to our hotel in the Old Medina at 11:30pm, he accompanied us to the door, going above and beyond his described tour! Excellent! I recommend his tour to those who love walking and learning about the customs, traditions and history of where you are visiting!
