We had the BEST time with Fernando! He showed us all the highlights of Chalchuapa and was incredibly interesting, engaging, and funny. His tour went way above my expectations as he taught us about the local history, botany, indigenous people, education system, and more. The ruins don't have an information signs up, so his guidance made the visit worthwhile. As an easy little trip out of Santa Ana, this is a great activity for anyone visiting the area :)
