Our tour with Ismail was awesome! We learned a lot about the city mosques, the baths, the languages, and the Medina. Ismail took us through the streets of shops and helped us barter. He also gave us a great recommendation for lunch. We would definitely recommend doing a walking tour, especially with Ismail! We gained a lot of confidence moving about the city on our own; this is a great excursion for a first day.
This tour was nice. I learned a lot of interesting information about the markets and the mosque. However, be prepared to stand and walk in the heat for a very long time. That was my only draw back, and please make sure to wear very comfortable clothes and shoes as it is a lot of walking and only standing for over 2 hours with very limited breaks. I did enjoy the tour though, but I was very tired at the end.
We were guided around the medina on a route I wouldn’t have found by myself. The guide was interesting and helpful, giving insight into life in Morocco. It was quite a long walk but we stopped off for a glass of mint tea in a herbal/ spice shop. The tea was complimentary but the products were very expensive. 😕
