I cannot recommend Ahmed’s tour enough. The Carthage ruins do not have many signs of descriptions, so having his explanation of the history of the region, what everyday life was like, and what the ruins represented made the entire experience. Without the guide, I would not have appreciated the ruins and what they represented. Do not go to Carthage without a guide!
Ahmed did an excellent job. We started outside of the Medina for a more modern context before going into the history of the Medina. It was interesting to learn about the different wares. The rooftop cafe was breathtaking and a lovely stop along the way.
