This was one of the best Free Walking Tours we’ve done in Europe; we came to North Macedonia knowing little about the country and left with so many nuggets of information and a warm feeling in our hearts. Vasko was a passionate guide who loves his city and brought us on a journey through the city’s history, food culture, architecture, politics, and then some. We’d recommend this tour — it’s long no doubt, wear your most comfortable shoes, and it will be worth it.
It was a crash course history tour of Sofia from the Roman times to present. We appreciated Kris for taking time to talk to different individuals on the tour between stations and we got to ask him more questions about Bulgaria / Sofia. Sofia’s sites are a bit sparser than some other cities in Europe so be prepared to walk a bit! But the walking was worth it as a Day 1 intro to Sofia.
