Benvenuti al mio profilo. Se siete arrivati fin qui, è perché siete interessati a uno dei miei tour, e vi ringrazio per questo. Vi racconterò un po' della mia carriera professionale e spero che potremo camminare insieme condividendo l'entusiasmante storia di Berlino, teatro degli eventi più importanti del XX secolo, l'ascesa del nazismo e la Guerra Fredda, fondamentali per comprendere il mondo in cui viviamo oggi. Ho una laurea triennale in Filosofia e tre master: in didattica della filosofia nelle scuole secondarie; in insegnamento dello spagnolo come lingua straniera; e sono insignita del Premio Straordinario per la laurea magistrale in Studi Sociali della Scienza e della Tecnologia. Grazie ai miei eccellenti relatori di tesi e al mio tirocinio presso il Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche spagnolo a Madrid, ho imparato l'importanza del rigore accademico e delle diverse metodologie di ricerca da ricercatori di fama internazionale. I miei anni di insegnamento in contesti interculturali mi hanno permesso di mettere in pratica tutte queste conoscenze e mi hanno insegnato ad adattare il mio discorso a diversi contesti didattici. I miei tour sono il risultato della mia formazione accademica e il frutto di un processo di ricerca consapevole. Il progetto "Side to Side" nasce con un obiettivo molto chiaro: comprendere l'essenza di ciascuno di questi eventi storici camminando e riflettendo insieme per le strade, i memoriali e gli spazi vuoti che, a Berlino, hanno tanto da raccontarci. I did the “Berlin and Nazism: Rise and Fall of the Empire” walking tour with Alexis and it was genuinely amazing. He’s an incredible guide — not just knowledgeable, but passionate, clear, and respectful with how he handles incredibly heavy history. The tour runs for about 3 hours and takes you through the most significant Nazi-era sites in Berlin: from Brandenburg Gate and the Reichstag, to memorials like those for the Sinti community, the Holocaust Memorial, the location above the Hitler Führerbunker, the so-called Street of Terror where the SS and Gestapo once ruled, and ends near the Topography of Terror documentation centre — all given context and meaning rather than being just photo stops. There is also a break at a beautiful coffee shop and very well needed as it was -10 today in the snow. What really stood out was Alexis’s ability to make this difficult subject accessible without being sensational. He explained the rise of Nazism, the machinery of power behind it, the diverse stories of victims and even lesser-known groups targeted by the regime — and he did it with thoughtfulness, sensitivity, and an encouraging way of making you think and reflect not just listen. He has a clear passion for this. He also shared little extras — personal insights, memory prompts, and even local tips for the rest of your Berlin stay. Easily one of the best tours I’ve experienced, and felt like a must-do while in Berlin. Highly recommend!
