Not impressed with Jason unfortunately due to his extremely fast pace, in both his walking and talking! He was asked by someone to slow down but used the excuse that he needed to as it was a large group! We also felt he needed to speak less about his native Greece and be more enthusiastic about Paris which I felt was lacking. He even pointed out how many tourists visit the latter and are disappointed, as it fails to meet their expectations! Flying the Greek flag was not entering the spirit of a French tour either! Even though throughout he did ask if anyone had any questions, he swiftly moved on. On a number of occasions people had their hand up to ask but he either ignored them or didn’t notice which either way is not good. However, when someone did just call out and proceeded to ask something, his knowledge was basic at best or he didn’t know. Surely he should be aware of what percentage of Notre Dame was burnt in the fire when pretty much the whole tour centred around this. Basically, he wasn’t able to deviate much from his learnt script! Towards the end, police escorts were frantically tooting their horns and whizzing past so it was obvious a VIP was about to pass. I was trying to get his attention to ask (surely he should have reacted himself!) but he was far too busy at this point collecting his money! We normally thoroughly enjoy the guru walks but this felt short on many levels.
Mustapha was pleasant, well spoken and knowledgeable. I feel that he could have been asked anything and would have known the answer. It was a very informative tour and left knowing so much more about Marrakech. Mustapha also gave some great advice and tips along the way. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
