I first discovered guruwalk in Portugal this March, took two walks there, both were wonderful, and both hosts not only speak flawless English but also are knowledgeable and funny, I learned a lot from these two walks. So I decided to try a guruwalk in Antigua, after seeing the good reviews I booked Alfredo’s guruwalk. However when I arrived I noticed he looks different from the photo, so I asked him, he said he’s Alfredo’s dad. Hoping he’d be as good as the Alfredo described in the reviews I went on the walk. But he’s not good. His English is not fluent and his vocabulary is limited, it’s hard to understand him. And the information he provided was not interesting either, overall I didn’t learn much from him. Despite that, I did appreciate his effort, so I finished the walk and still gave him $15 per person. Please be whom you claim to be, or at least be as good as the person whom you claim to be.
A great tour! Our guru Bruno is exceptionally good, he’s knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and funny. He’s a natural storyteller who can captivate his audience instantly, his stories are filled with vivid details. And he speaks flawless fluent English without accent, so it’s very easy to understand him. After this tour with Bruno Portugal and Lisbon become more alive and meaningful to me. Highly recommend!
Jaime is very knowledgeable in the history of Portugal, I’ve learned so much after the walk, Porto became alive to me and all the buildings got meanings.
