This tour is led by Noah, a tv producer. It’s quite casual and informal. The guide has clips of the tv show or movie that is sent by WhatsApp in advance so that you can see the programme as you are at the different locations. We hopped the subway twice so make sure to bring your metro card. The highlight of the tour was that we got to see Sarah Jessica Parker filming the next series of just like that at the lincon centre.
We were very surprised by this tour as we’d no idea that Williamsburg is an up and coming area with many contrasting neighbourhoods. Our Colombian tour guide was excellent (apologies I can’t remember his name). We visited a brewery, orthodox jewish neighbourhood, a Colombian coffee house, domino sugar warehouse and a boardwalk area which over looked New York. Very happy to recommend this tour
We picked this tour as we knew nothing about Coney Island or Brighton beach other than hearing them mentioned on tv programmes and that’s what drew us to this tour. It was a lovely relaxing way to spend an afternoon, walking casually along the boardwalk and hearing about how Coney Island has changed multiple times due to socioeconomic influences on the area from the 1900 to today. Alex had photos dating from different eras with him so It felt like we stepped back in time a little especially as it was a quiet Monday afternoon when we visited and the area was quiet and the rides were closed. Brighton beach was very different from how it was portrayed on tv. We visited different ethnic shops and markets and heard about the history of the area. We would never have found these places or even visited Brighton beach without a guide and Alex has shown us an exceptional level of professionalism and a deep interest in the tours that he leads. He gave several restaurant recommendations to others on the tour and it seems that it’s an expensive place to eat authentic food from the multiple ethnic backgrounds that now call Brighton beach home. Very happy to recommend both Alex and this tour. 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was our 1st walking tour with Alex and considering it was a “free” tour, we were pleasantly surprised by the level of professionalism and quality of content that Alex shared. After the tour, we had a good understanding of Harlem and its history. We visited some beautiful architecture on this tour that surprised us with the “reputation” that Harlem used to have. After the high standard of tour that Alex demonstrated, we decided to book more tours with him, Highly recommend this tour with Alex.
Very pleasant ramble around lower Manhattan. Visited many places that we would have passed-by only that David was our guide who has lived locally for years. We both enjoyed our morning.
