We were the only guests on this tour, It was more like going g for a walk with an expert friend, full of information, excellent knowledge of food and gastronomic history. His historical knowledge put the tour into perspective. Great recommendation for lunch- best omelette ever with advice to visit the archeology museum. Other tourists in groups of up to 40 trailed behind their guides and looked at us incredulously. We regularly use GuruWalks for exactly this reason.
Excellent GuruWalk, unexpected access to the Christian Chapel, followed by a walk through the rain forest for a fabulous view over Kandy, with a run down of Sri Lankan history! We saw monkeys, owls, turtles, fish, a Kingfisher and a Monitor Lizard!
We were joined to a paying tour. The Tour itself was interesting taking us to places we would not have found. We were not included in the already arranged lunch for the all day tour. There is minimum expectation of 100HK dollars per person.
