We had an exceptional experience touring Bucharest with Mara! The weather couldn’t have been worse-but Mara brought the sunshine with her good energy, calm presence and impressive historical knowledge of Bucharest and Romanian history overall. She didn’t skip a beat making sure we were comfortable, finding shelter when it rained (and still continuing the tour!) and giving us a great first impression of the city and Romanian people. Would gladly join another of her tours again!
I had a great tour with Mara on Life in Communist Bucharest tour. She was deeply immersed in the topic and shared detailed, engaging stories about life under communism. Her passion and knowledge really brought the history to life. It would’ve been nice to have a bit more humor given the heavy nature of the topic, but overall it was fascinating. Also, a small reminder: not all nazis were Germans, and not all communists were Russians! Highly recommend!

It was absolutey fantastic!! The guide was super fun and very informative. He showed us a lot of thingsin the city and provided extremely interesting information about everything. I loved how the story of Romania and Bucharest came together through the whole walk, bit by bit. I feel like I know a lot about both the city and the country now. He was also sharing funny anecdotes, so we all laughed a lot. He had multiple pictures with him - peopel and places he was referencing in his stiories, as well as traditional food he was recommending to us (and he was completely right, the food was delicious!). One of the best guru tours I've been to. Recommend with all my heart! :D
I had an amazing tour with Elena in Bucharest! She was funny, engaging, and brought a unique perspective to the city. Her individual approach made the experience feel personal and memorable. Highly recommend!
