Niels is great, professional, informed and kind. Glad I took the tour.
Niels was easy to find, was there when we turned up, slightly ahead of the 10 minutes before departure recommendation. The location was easy to find and his pre-meet communication was good. Niels was charming and personable and made the effort to speak to each of the 6 of us while we were waiting for the other guests. He went to some trouble to locate a missing guest but we still started on time. We visited a number of locations and at each stop Niels told us something of the history of Amsterdam and tied that in to that location. He was very good at weaving each location into the overall picture of the history of the city. He certainly knows his history; explaining the Netherlands role in European history and how that shaped the development of the city. I was a little worried about the 2 hour length of the tour as we had already done a lot of walking, but the stops were frequent, and there was plenty of resting time. Niels was happy to answer questions, both at the stops and while we were between stops, and added a lot of detail and local colour in response to guests inquiries. It was a very enjoyable couple of hours, and well worth our time. I would highly recommend Niels as a guide.
