We are sorry that the tour was not to your liking, but you should keep in mind that the tour you attended is called "Historic Bilbao", in this way, you will receive a lesson about the history of the city while visiting some locations important. If you just wanted to see monuments without having the historical component, you could have attended another tour, but we cannot take away from the tour the history that is its biggest part. On the other hand, we understand that in the states football is not something important, but we cannot "stop talking" about a sport of great significance in Europe, the place you are visiting.
