Sherif was a brilliant tour guide. As well as having travelled to and spent time in different countries himself and having brilliant English, he also works as an archaeologist on site- what more could you want?! He was great fun, with a great sense of humour and full of all the information you could want on such a tour. His recommendations for what to do and see and what not to do and see were so helpful and spot on too. He knew the best spots for photos and was an expert at taking them for us all too. At the end, he even organised my camel ride for me and waited half an hour for me (and only me) to return before chatting with me all the way back to the exit. Lovely, lovely guy who I cannot recommend highly enough. A great 4 hours.
Gloria effortlessly guided me around Kigali for just over 2 hours. She was personable, relaxed and very professional. Amongst other things, we visited the Inema art gallery, the Belgian Peacekeepers Memorial and the Biryogo Car Free Food Street (she recommended a great sugar cane juice with lemon and ginger). I asked question after question about Rwanda and she always had the answers. We took motos (motorbikes) between places if they were a good distance apart, but otherwise walked it. It was just the orientation experience I needed for my first day here to get my bearings on the geography, culture and transport. Highly recommend.
