We were the only two people on the tour so it felt very much like a private tour. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour as it was more slow paced and we could ask him all the questions we wanted. It felt very much like we were visiting with a friend and having him show us around. We learned many interesting facts and history about Casablanca and Morocco in general and he even catered the tour for us to stop and have lunch with him at La Sqala since there was no one else on the tour. Sufyan was very friendly and was very fluent in English so we were able to hold easy conversations with him which is hard to find in Morocco. We visited the important sites in Casablanca and would highly recommend this tour.
We just finished our tour with Ismail and was very pleased with the experience. Ismail was very knowledgeable giving us much information of Moroccan history, culture, architecture, food, shopping…we thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would recommend to any first timers to Morocco.
Such a fun an interesting tour! Charlie gave us a chronological timeline of the history of the Alcazaba and threw in fun facts that related to the history from today’s era. He is one of the nicest tour guides we’ve met since using Guruwalk! Definitely need more passionate guides like Charlie. Highly recommend his tour! You will not be disappointed.
I have taken many guru walks and unfortunately this tour fell short. First of all, the confirmed time was delayed by 30 minutes. When the group was ready, the guru did not introduce himself but rather just launched into a series of boring information. While he tried to seem enthusiastic, the information presented was too much to digest and there was no audience interaction. He talked too fast and had too thick of an accent to understand. Also, it was hard to hear him even with a microphone and most of the tour he did not use the microphone. He also did not make some stops that was posted in the itinerary. Sadly, I would not recommend this guru.
Melissa was fantastic! Her knowledge of history and her unique storytelling was the highlight of the tour! Watch out for her speed round quiz at the end….thoroughly enjoyed the tour!
