We had a great walk with our guide Marius, got to know about the history of Hamburg, on our walk we came across the big office buildings, also saw one from the inside. The tour ended in the Speicherstadt where Marius showed the most scenic spot, explained about harbour life in the past. Marius showed pictures from the past so we could compare todays’ views with the historic setup. Very interesting and well prepared.
I had booked a German tour. Our guide Elizabeth was very knowledgeable and good to tell stories. However the route and variation of sights was not satisfying. We did not see many sights, but concentrated very much on the Hofburg complex only. Next time I would book another tour.
It was difficult to locate the guide at the starting point. The guide talked too much and too fast. He was always in a hurry. Too much information. Less would be more.
