We try and visit Spain twice a year and stay for a month in each city. We are both retired seniors and enjoy exploring each town. The challenge is always to find good places to eat and a friendly bar to sit and enjoy a drink.
Our guide kept us informed of our meeting arrangements with constant updates of her arrival. She was pleased we had found the meeting point and we walked off on the personal guided tour. As there was only two of us today Friday 26th April 2024 it was a special walk around old Almería. We kept away from the modern city centre and explored the history of old Almería. Winding through small one way roads and cutting through alleyways, this local guide knew her way around, having lived here herself a few years past. We were shown, many churches, museums, art galleries, cafes and recommended tapas bars. We walked upto the bottom of Almería Fortress and looked upon the public gardens. An excellent tour.
