Daniela is bright, amiable and knowledgeable. I felt instantly at ease with her. It's quite a dynamic tour, with a mix of historical titbits and heartfelt personal anecdotes. Daniela is really dedicated to the work and goes over and beyond to offer assistance beyond the tour, if required. I also appreciated her honesty when I asked for local recommendations.
Pieter is a friendly, charismatic and enthusiastic guide who clearly enjoys his work. A good introduction to the history of Bruges which leaves you curious to see more of the city.
Andor is a knowledgeable, eloquent and highly engaging speaker, with a very dry sense of humour. Bear in mind that it's only a small area that is covered so there is a lot of standing around, as opposed to other walking city tours.
My mother was visiting me for the first time in Belgium and I thought this would be a great way to introduce her to the City. The route of the tour is very good and a number of stimulating titbits. She really enjoyed the experience. There was however, a tendency to gloss over some key historical moments (Marx' stay in Brussels, colonial footprint...)
Thought-provoking tour. I was very impressed with the thorough and extensive information provided. I especially appreciated the segment on the evolution of Communism and the 1989 revolution.
