My passion for languages and culture started early on. I am a Professor of Spanish Language and Literature and hold a Master's degree in Sociology. Primož, an economist with a deep appreciation for history and sports, is an avid collector and specializes in the socialist era of Tito's Yugoslavia.
Our goal is to ensure you have the best possible experience during your stay. We offer personalized tours, taking into account the diverse interests and backgrounds of our guests. This tour is very different from most tours, which focus on the tourist center. We visited the neighborhoods where the people of Ljubljana actually live and heard about the Yugoslav era, all while riding traditional bicycles. Our guide, Primoz, was great! Not only is he knowledgeable about the subject, but he also lived in the areas we visited. It was a really cool experience, I highly recommend it!
This was a super interesting tour. If you are interested in the history of Ljubljana/Slovenia, this tour is perfect. The route was well paced and the information with regards to each location was woven in perfectly. I felt very immersed in the historical context of the tour. I especially enjoyed the information on former Yugoslavia and the physical items the guide showed us along the way, for example, the old Yugoslav passport, previous Slovenian currency and street signs from previous names that have since been changed with new eras. This is an excellent way to spend an afternoon in Ljubljana!!!
