Sadly, this tour was not as expected. We only covered 3 of the 5 stops listed on the itinerary, and large segments of the tour were without information, just walking in the blistering sun. The boat ride was an interesting experience, trying to balance our tiny boat on the choppy waves in the harbor. The information in the Old Town square was good, as was the tour of the mosque, although the mosque tour was not presented by our guide. Note there are also charges for transportation on the tour. Two of the four guests ended up leaving the tour at one point to get their own transportation to the next stop and then waited over half an hour, as we walked miles and took public transportation. At the end, the guide demanded 200,000 Rp per person for the free walking tour (false advertising). At least the guide was friendly, and happy to answer questions when asked.
I had no idea Bruges was such an amazing town. We learned so much on the tour, and also enjoyed finding hidden gems we would never have discovered on our own. I've done Guru Walk Tours in several countries, and I've found the guides very knowledgeable, professional, and enjoyable!
I can completely see why this tour gets so many 5-star reviews. Ismail did a fantastic job describing the Marrakech medina to us, giving us details we never knew about, and also keeping it a really fun tour. I just wish I had done the tour earlier in my trip to Marrakech. I can't recommend this tour enough to other travelers.
